Overview

Looking and feeling your best is important to everyone. You can help people to do both with our Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Techniques Study Programme. Working in Salon QG on campus, you will learn about electrical facial and body treatments, a range of massage therapies including traditional, hot stones and aromatherapy with pre-blended oils techniques, as well as gaining an understanding of the health and safety issues, how to promote products and increase salon profit and provide excellent client care all which you need to know about in the beauty and spa industry for a successful career and business. All applicants are required to take part in a mandatory practical and theory trade test to showcase skills and previous knowledge before enrolling.

 

You will do additional work experience to test your practical knowledge and boost your employability, English and maths skills as part of the programme.

 

This course prepares you for your career as a beauty therapist, or spa therapist, working in a salon or even on cruise liners! You can progress into higher education from this course.

 

 These are compulsory areas:

                     Promote and sell products and services to clients

                     Provide body massage

Provide Hot Stone Therapy Micro-Dermabrasion Techniques

                     Provide facial electrotherapy treatments

                     Provide body electrotherapy treatments

This qualification could lead to a job as a senior beauty/spa therapist working in one of the following establishments:

                     Beauty salon

                     Spa

                     Cruise ship

                     Hotel salon

 

If advanced techniques are what you are interested in, you could continue your study on the Foundation Degree in Advanced Beauty Therapy and Aesthetic practice.
