THe Details

The Level 2 in Beauty Therapy aims to provide you with a range of essential technical and practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the beauty Industry. These skills include carrying out treatments such as manicure, pedicure, hair removal, facial treatments, lash and brow treatments, application of make-up and light cured gel polish. You will be performing treatments on paying clients within Salon QG.

 

This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the beauty therapy industries.

 

You will study the following mandatory content:

                     Anatomy & Physiology

                     Principles of practice for Beauty Therapists

                     Hair removal treatments

                     Facial and skin analysis

                     Manicure treatments

                     Pedicure treatments

                     Light cured gel polish

                     Lash and Brow treatments

                     Apply make-up services

                    

 

Following successful completion of this qualification you will be qualified to work in a number of employment destinations such as beauty salons, spas, hotels or health clubs or cruise ships. You may also choose to progress onto level 3. You can specialise in advanced beauty and spa, advanced nails or advanced special effects hair and media.

It is important to note that when you enrol on an Access to HE courseyou can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.

Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
