THe Details

This qualification develops the varying skills needed to provide technical services professionally, ensuring excellent client care in an industry setting. You will learn 21st century skills to support you in developing the employability skills desired within the hairdressing and barbering sector.

The following areas that can be covered within this qualification:

  • Health and safety
  • Advising and consulting across a range of services.
  • Shampooing and Conditioning varied hair and scalp conditions.
  • Promoting services and products.
  • Cut ladies hair
  • Colour hair
  • Style and dress using varied techniques
  • Cut mens hair
  • Create a hair and beauty Image
  • Reception duties

The Core qualification includes 10 units and is delivered through continual assessment of practical competence and Evolve Online testing of underpinning knowledge. You will also complete a full study programme of Maths and English, living ang thriving, tutorials and complete work experience in industry salons. You will also gain further certification in L2 Award in Contact dermatitis, gain knowledge and experience of competitions.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
