Online Level 2 Business student Natalia Loska will represent Hull College at the UK & Ireland final of the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Championships today (Thursday 15th June).

Microsoft Office Specialist is a global certification awarded by Microsoft on successful completion of a challenging skills-based exam. The MOS certification confirms that those who pass can competently use one or more Microsoft Office applications. Each exam is a rigorous, 50-minute, 35-question exam and 70% or higher (700/1000) is required to successfully pass and gain the highly-regarded qualification.

The MOS UK & Ireland Championships is a competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office applications, operated and sponsored in the UK and Ireland by Prodigy Learning. 21-year-old Natalia achieved MOS status when completing her MOS Certification exam at the college earlier this year, with her impressive performance ensuring she was one of the top ten performers - from 15,000 entrants - in the Microsoft Word category securing her place in the virtual finals set to take place at 4pm this afternoon.

Three overall champions will be crowned in Word, PowerPoint & Excel categories at these virtual finals, with the lucky trio then given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent the UK & Ireland on a global stage at the Certiport MOS World Championships in the United States in late July/early August.

All three winners will be announced in a special online awards ceremony, starting at 5:30pm this afternoon.

Everyone at Hull College would like to congratulate Natalia on her already outstanding achievement of reaching the finals of the MOS UK & Ireland Championships and would like to take this opportunity to wish her the very best of luck in this afternoon’s virtual event.
