The Level 1
Health & Social Care in Children and Young Peoples Settings Study Programme
offers you the chance to develop your knowledge and awareness of the types of
provision in the various sectors and you will study a mix of units relating to
caring for people of all ages.
You’ll learn about protection and safeguarding and the principles and
values of the sector, with vital hands-on work experience to put your knowledge
and employability skills to good use.
We will also
offer extra qualifications to make sure you are work ready - these include
Sexual Health Awareness, Awareness of Substance Misuse and First Aid. And of course you will take part in some
exciting enrichment opportunities.
The Level 1
qualification supports you onto further progression which includes Level 2 in
Health and Social Care, Level 2 Health and Nursing Academy or Level 2 Early Years Education and
Childcare.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.
Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.
Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
