If you enjoy science and have a particular interest in biology, but need to make improvements to your portfolio of GCSE qualifications, then you should consider completing the AQA GCSE in Biology at Hull College. It will provide you with the background knowledge you need to flourish in a biological or health career. It is also an ideal foundation for those progressing to study nursing or similar courses in higher education. It is a challenging course, which bridges the gap between GCSE science and A-level biology, so applicants are expected to already have a GCSE science qualification at grade 3 (D) minimum, along with English and Maths. The classes run for 3 hours per week on a Tuesday evening, from the start of September until the final exams in May. The classes are delivered by an experienced, PhD qualified, biology tutor in the science department at our Queen’s Gardens site. The course provides a full GCSE qualification devoted entirely to biology and is perfect for anyone with a keen interest in biological science who needs to improve their GCSE grades for career or university progression. *Entry assessments are available to those applicants who feel they may be ready for the qualification but cannot produce evidence of this level of prior achievement, or have considerable relevant vocational experience.
