1. Do Your Research

Explore the National Apprenticeship Service website and check employer websites to discover available opportunities that match your interests and goals. Doing your homework will help you find the best fit for your skills and ambitions.

2. Update Your CV and Cover Letter

Make sure your CV and cover letter are up to date and tailored to the apprenticeship you're applying for. Need help? A well-structured CV highlighting your skills, experience, and enthusiasm can make all the difference. Reach out to your careers advisor at school or college for expert guidance.

3. Reach Out to Employers

Get proactive! Contact local employers directly - whether by phone, email, or in person - to ask about upcoming apprenticeship opportunities. Many companies appreciate candidates who show initiative, so don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and express your interest.

4. Stay on Top of Deadlines

Mark those application deadlines in your calendar and avoid leaving your application to the last minute. Submitting early can give you an advantage, as some employers review applications on a rolling basis.

5. Keep Going!

Persistence is key. If you don’t secure an interview right away, don’t be discouraged. Keep applying and exploring opportunities - you’ll get there! Every application is a learning experience that brings you one step closer to success.
