THe Details

This Study Programme is designed for students aiming to develop advanced skills in plumbing and heating techniques. The programme covers installation of plumbing and heating systems in simulated environments as well as the electrical circuits required to make them work. You will also develop knowledge of fault finding - a key skill required in the industry. The Employability Skills Passport will also help you develop the work-ready skills you need to succeed, as well as developing your maths and English. You will need to have completed a level 2 in plumbing to progress onto this course. where successful completion could allow you to progress onto an apprenticeship and if gained through a Gas Safe employer, allows you to fast track to the second year of a Level 3 framework.

UCAS provides support for young people making post-18 choices, as well as mature learners, by providing information, advice, and guidance to inspire and facilitate educational progression to university, college, or a degree apprenticeship.

It is important to note that when you enrol on an Access to HE courseyou can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.

Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
